CCMUI win7 compulsory restart

The Scenarios where this issue can occur are as follows:

  • When server application is installed on win7 operating system.
  • After completing the installation of server application and giving a compulsory restart of server system, the application still asks for restart.
How to Identify the issue:-

Steps that help us to identify the issue are as follows:

  • After completing the installation of server application and giving a compulsory restart of server system, the application still asks start restart the pc on starting the CCMUI.exe.
  • The Icon of the Server application shows logo of “User access control” on it.
Solution Provided:-

Steps to resolve the issue are as follows:

  1. The possible cause of this issue could be as follows:
    1. User permission denied for CCMUI.exe
    2. CCMUI.exe unable to locate the TCPIP parameter values.
  2. Cases where the User permission has been denied for CCMUI.exe:
    1. Go to the following path: Start -> Control Panel -> User accounts
    2. Check if the logged in user is an administrator.
      1. If it is not, login as an administrator.
      2. Else create new user profile with an administrator rights.
    3. This should resolve the problem.
  3. If the issue still persists then that means that the CCMUI.exe is unable to locate the TCPIP parameter values from registry.
    1. Do the following to same:  Click Start -> Run -> Enter Regedit
    2. Here navigate to: HKey_Local_Machine\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip6\Parameters
    3. Here check for a Dword value: “DisabledComponents”
    4. If exists, check the registry value which should be 1107296255(41ffffff)
    5. If not, create the same.
  4. This should resolve the problem.
