Network Printers cannot be added in Print manager of iCafe Manager Server

Scenarios where the issue occurs:-

The Scenarios where this issue can occur are as follows:

  1. This issue will occur when the Printer is connected directly on a switch where every individual system has to install their printer drivers individually.
How to Identify the issue:-

Steps that help us to identify the issue are as follows:

  1. At the time of giving a print command from the Client Machine it is not showing up in the Cafe Manager Console
  2. If the Print command is executed then in the Cafe Manager Console the status of the Total pages and Amount may not show in the Print Manager Tab.
Solution Provided:-

Steps to resolve the issue are as follows:

  1. Open the Cafe Manager Console and check for the above mentioned scenarios.
  2.  Install network printer drivers in the server machine first.
  3. Share the Network printer by using the below mentioned steps
    1. Start > Printers and Faxes > Right click the network printer > Click on properties  > Click on Sharing Tab > select Share this printer > give the printer name and press Apply then Ok
    2. Then go to client machine start > run > \\server system name or server system IP address > then select
      network printer > press YES > Then go to printers tab select set as Default.
  1. Now login in the customer in client machine and give the test printout. Then C3M print manager shows the correct print count and amount also.
Note: If the server system has crashed then the cafe partner will not be able to take the printouts through the network printer.
