Error message "An Error occurred during local report processing. The report definition has not been specified"

Scenarios where the issue occurs:-

The Scenarios where this issue can occur are as follows:

  1. Reports folder/RDLC files unknowingly deleted by the user.
  2. Reports folder/RDLC files deleted automatically by virus.
  3. During Installation the Reports Folder was not created.
How to Identify the issue:-

Steps that help us to identify the issue are as follows:

  1. All the reports/any particular reports will show the Error as “An Error occurred during local report processing. The report definition for report C:\program files\Ideacts\CLINCK Cyber Cafe Manager\Reports\ CollectionReport.rdlc has not been specified. Could not find a Part of the path C:\program files\Ideacts\CLINCK Cyber Cafe Manager\Reports\ CollectionReport.rdlc “.
Solution Provided:-

Steps to resolve the issue are as follows:

  1. Open the cafe manager console and check if you get the above mentioned error message while accessing the Reports.
  2. Close the Cafe manager Console.
  3. Go to the path C:/Program files/Ideacts/CLINCK Cyber Cafe Manager and check whether Reports folder is present or not.
  4. If the Reports folder is present then open the Reports Folder and check the number of rdlc files present in that report folder. There are 21 rdlc files should be present.
  5. If the Report Folder is not present or any rdlc files are missing or any rdlc files doesn’t have a file size, then go back to the CLICK Cyber Cafe Manager folder (i.e.  C:/Program files/Ideacts/CLINCK Cyber Cafe Manager) and open the Temp folder.
  6. Inside Temp Folder there will be two subfolders:
    1. CCMBackup
    2. CCMUpdate
  7. Open the CCMUpdate folder and Copy the Whole “Reports” folder and go back to CLINCK Cyber Cafe Manager Folder and paste it there.
  8. Open the Cafe manager console and check the reports.
  9. This will resolve the issue.
  10. If the Temp Folder is not present in the specified location then the only solution is to take the backup of the data and reinstall the application.
